How to register . . .
- On the Dashboard page – click Register
- Enter your email and a password (twice) – click Register
Once you have registered you will be able to create multiple short lists of artists for your projects
How to log in . . .
- On the Dashboard page – click Log In
- Enter your email and a password – click Log In
You can get back to the Dashboard page at any time by clicking on the Dashboard tab or the Natural Sounding Voices icon at the top left of the screen
How to search for a voice . . .
On the home page you will find the search bar. Start typing your search words and matching words will appear underneath the bar. When you see your search word, you can click on the word / or hit the enter button / or put in a comma.
You can use multiple search words to refine your artist search.
If you search for a word and we do not have a match for that word, you will see ‘no matches found’ under the search bar. If this is the case, then please see our Search Tips section of this help page to help improve your search.
How to listen to a voice reel . . .
Once you have found an artist that fits your brief:
- Click on the play button at the top right of their profile picture.
- Click on their profile page, which will bring up all the artist reels, biography, and descriptive words for their voice/style.
Natural Sounding Voices makes it easy for you to create, share and save lists of artists with your colleagues and clients. Anyone can create, edit and share a shortlist, however only registered members can save shortlists.
How to create a shortlist . . .
Simply click the star icon in an artist profile and they will be added to your shortlist.
How to view a shortlist . . .
Click on the shortlist tab at the top right of the screen.
How to share a shortlist . . .
Once you have created a shortlist, if you click on the shortlist tab at the top right of the screen to view your shortlist. You will see a share shortlist button. If you click on this and then complete the required fields, you will be able to share your shortlist.
How to save a short list . . .
Note: Shortlists cannot be saved unless you have registered (see ‘How to register’ section of help on how to register)
Once you have created a shortlist, if you click on the shortlist tab at the top right of the screen to view your shortlist. You will see a warning box that says ‘You are editing this list, Changes have not been saved. There is a Save Now button here – if you click and then name the short list and confirm that you would like to save the short list.
- Saved shortlists will be saved in your profile.
- You can save multiple shortlists.

Below is a list of terms we would use to describe a voice over artist. If you are struggling to find and appropriate voice, please try relating you search to some of these descriptions.
Relaxed, Bold, Fun, Quirky, Fresh, Light, Smiley, RP, Trendy, Powerful, Sassy, Smart, Airy, Character, clear, crisp, calm, charming, warm, friendly, conversational, down to earth, chatty, or lively.
You can search by:
- Accent – (e.g Geordie, Yorkshire, Neutral, RP, Cockney)
- Language – (e.g English, Welsh, Irish, Spanish)
- Age – (e.g 20’s, 30’s, 40’s)
- Style – (e.g bright, clear, chatty, warm)
